ES Cell Injections

The aim of this routinely available service is to generate chimeric mice from injection of mouse embryonic stem (ES) cells into blastocysts. A standard project includes the injection of a total of 80 blastocysts. We advise to rely on ES-cell lines with proved germline competence for ensuring a high probability of success.

We offer injection of all common ES-cell lines into different mouse strains to facilitate a broad range of research applications.

As an option, EPIC staff will be ready to support with in-vitro culture of the selected ES-cells as well as with breeding management for germline transmission after the chimeras have been obtained.
